The $40 silicon basket liner debate: great deal or total scam?

I bought a pack of those cheap silicon basket liners for my air fryer for about $8 for a two pack. At first they were amazing, no scrubbing needed after making chicken wings or fries. But after a few weeks the edges started curling up and they trapped grease underneath, which kind of defeated the purpose of easy cleanup. Now I'm wondering if I should have just spent the $20 on the good branded ones that actually stay flat. Has anyone else had the edges curl on the cheap liners or am I just putting them in wrong?

Used to think all silicone liners were the same, just paying for a brand name. But this curl issue sounds like a genuine design flaw in the cheap ones, not user error. Might have to bite the bullet and get the fiberglass mesh ones now.

Man those edges curling is the worst, it's like the liner is actively fighting against you. Guess that's why they call it the cheap stuff.

@hernandez.gavin yeah the curling is why I switched to the silicone mats with fiberglass mesh, they stay put.
