Update: My sister said my air fryer chicken was too dry
She tried a piece last weekend and was nice about it, but she said it felt like eating a sponge. I always just put chicken breasts in for 20 minutes at 400 degrees, no matter what. So this time, I tried brining them in salt water for an hour first and then cooked them for 16 minutes instead. The difference was huge, it was actually juicy. Has anyone else had a tip that totally fixed a basic recipe for them?

Brining is a game changer for sure. I still go 20 minutes at 400 though, comes out perfect every time. Maybe my air fryer runs cooler.

Oh for sure, it's wild how much those things can vary. I gotta check mine with a thermometer now, just to be safe lol.

Honestly I was so against brining for the longest time, it just seemed like too much extra work. But I tried it last week and wow, the chicken was so much juicier! I did 400 for 18 minutes like the recipe said and it was perfect. I guess I'm a total convert now.
