TIL my old habit of just wiping down a connector with a rag was causing intermittent faults. A guy at the hangar in Dayton showed me the proper contact cleaner spray and my callbacks dropped.

Wait, the Dayton guy was using DeoxIT and not the regular CRC spray?" That's wild, I didn't realize the brand mattered that much for this stuff.

Yeah, I used to think a dry rag was good enough too. The guy in Dayton showed me the CRC brand stuff, which is what @tessap97 is asking about. It really does make a difference for those weird gremlins.

Actually the Dayton guy was using DeoxIT, not the regular CRC line. That stuff is made for electrical contacts specifically. Makes a huge difference with finicky connections.
