Am I the only one who stopped a fake alarm inspector last Tuesday?
He was going door to door on Maple Street saying he needed to update our alarm firmware. When I asked for his company badge, he got nervous and left fast. My customer down the road had the same guy try to get into their panel. Keep an eye out for this scam in our neighborhood.

Ask for proof right away. @the_shane is right that knowing your stuff helps spot fakes. It shuts down their game before it starts.
