Am I the only one who keeps seeing people call slice-of-life shows boring?
I was in a Discord server last night where three different people trashed Laid-Back Camp because nothing epic happens. They kept saying it has no plot and that makes it bad. But that's the whole point, right? Slice-of-life is about vibes and character moments, not explosions. Has anyone else noticed this trend of people judging slow shows by shonen standards?

Maybe it's just me but part of the problem is that streaming algorithms push the loud flashy shows to the front page, so people who haven't trained themselves to sit still just assume anything quiet is broken.

Totally nailed it @william_craig7, next they'll complain about nature documentaries not having enough explosions.

Three different people trashed Laid-Back Camp because nothing epic happens" - that's wild to me, man. Like, what did they expect, a high-speed chase with a runaway tent or something? I gotta ask though... do you think this is just a loud minority thing, or is there actually a growing part of the audience that can't appreciate a slow burn show unless a character dies or a world ends by episode three? Because I've seen people call stuff like Mushishi boring too, and that show is basically meditation in animated form.
