My buddy swore skip the first 3 episodes of Steins;Gate and I finally caved

I was stuck on episode 4 back in 2022 and told my friend Mike the show was boring. He said 'just power through to episode 12, it flips,' and I laughed at him. Have you guys ever forced yourself through a slow start and ended up loving a series?

Mike was right though. Episode 12 is where everything clicks and you just sit there stunned. I almost dropped it three times before that point but now it's one of my favorites. The whole show rewards you for sticking with the slow build.

oh totally, @adam414, episode 12 hit me like a truck too. i was literally sitting there with my mouth open like a confused goldfish. honestly, i think i owe the show an apology for all the times i nearly ragequit during episode 4 because i couldn't follow the plot.

@fionat55 that confused goldfish description is way too accurate lol. episode 4 almost broke me too, had to watch a youtube recap just to keep going. but yeah ep 12 completely flipped my opinion, sat there like wait this whole thing was actually genius the whole time? definitely owe mike an apology.
