Was talking with my buddy Marcus after the dub of Frieren and he said my top 10 was just 'popular picks with no spine.' It stung at first, but then he showed me his list full of obscure 90s OVAs and I realized I really do just watch whatever's trending. Now I'm going back through old stuff like Gunbuster, and I'm wondering if anyone else had that moment where a friend's criticism actually improved how you watch?
