Figuring out a tricky dishwasher drain issue took way longer than expected

I had a dishwasher that wouldn't drain properly, and I thought it was the pump. After replacing it, the problem stayed. I spent hours checking hoses and filters, getting frustrated. Finally, I found a small piece of glass stuck in the drain line. Removing it fixed everything instantly. Now, I always clear the drain line first on any drain job, which helps me avoid extra work.

Ever spent forever trying to fix something only to find it was just unplugged? Yeah, that advice hits home hard because I always forget to do the simple checks first. Last month my internet went down and I reset everything a dozen times before noticing the router cable was loose. It's embarrassing how often I miss the obvious stuff and waste so much time. Now I force myself to look at the easy fixes before I even start to worry.

Feel that deep in my soul lol. We all get so caught up expecting the big, complicated fix that we completely blind ourselves to the stupid little thing right in front of us. It's like our brains refuse to accept the answer could be that simple. Makes you want to kick yourself every single time, but hey, at least we learn for next time. Solidarity on the wasted hours, my friend.
