Found a dead mouse inside a fridge compressor last Tuesday in Phoenix
Pulled the back panel off a Samsung that wasn't cooling and there it was all dried up blocking the fan. Has anyone else run into weird critter damage on sealed systems like this?

Dried up and blocking the fan? That's some serious work for a tiny mouse to do. I've pulled apart old fridges and found dust bunnies the size of tumbleweeds, but never a whole carcass. Gotta respect the commitment to causing a total system failure though. Phoenix heat probably baked that little guy into a crisp before he could even think about moving on.

Dried up mouse jerky blocking the fan is a new level of bad luck. Phoenix heat probably just mummified the thing on the spot, no decomposition needed. Total system failure from one tiny crispy critter.

I pulled a sunbaked lizard out of a window AC unit a few summers back. Thing was drier than a saltine cracker and had clearly been there since the spring. It wasn't even blocking the fan, just stuck to the coils, but it took a flathead screwdriver and some patience to chip it off without damaging anything. That Phoenix heat really does turn these little guys into hardware components.
