One of those weeks where everything went right for once
Last Tuesday I had a call about a fridge that wasn't cooling on the bottom shelf. Turned out it was just a frozen evaporator coil from a bad defrost timer. Fixed it in 25 minutes and the customer tipped me $40 cash. Then Thursday I did a dishwasher install where the old unit had a cracked drain pump that flooded under the sink. Made $180 on labor plus $60 for the new pump. Best part was the customer offered me lunch. That never happens twice in a week. Anyone else get those weeks where you feel like you can't miss?

$40 tip for a defrost timer? @hunt.hayden that's wild, I usually get like $10 tops.

Save a little bit of that good luck for the next time you get a call about a fridge that's not cooling but it's actually just the condenser fan stuck with a hairball or a piece of plastic. I've learned the hard way that when you get a week like this, you have to pocket the extra cash and not go buying new tools or treating yourself to a steak dinner. The universe has a way of balancing out with a blown compressor or a leaky water line that takes three hours to get to. Keep your head down and don't talk about it too much or you'll jinx the next week.
