Saw a repairman in Wichita charge $40 just to look at a fridge, made me rethink my whole service call fee
Stopped at a diner in Wichita last month and got talking to the guy at the counter next to me, he runs an appliance shop over on Oliver Street. He told me he charges a flat $40 diagnostic fee whether he fixes it or not, says it keeps the tire kickers away. I've been eating that cost for years, driving out for free just to hear someone say the dryer squeaks. Curious what you all charge for a diagnostic, flat fee or do you roll it into the repair?
