Unpopular opinion: That $300 aftermarket scan tool I bought was a complete waste of cash.
It couldn't even pull the ABS codes on a 2017 F-150 that my basic OBDII reader flagged, so what's a good mid-range scanner that actually works on newer trucks?

Man, I felt the same way until my buddy's Autel scanner saved us on a newer Silverado. The cheap ones just don't cut it anymore.

My old Innova scanner couldn't read the ABS module on my F-150. Borrowed a friend's Launch unit and it pulled the code instantly. It really does take a better tool for these newer trucks.
