Did this myself for 3 years before someone pointed out my mistake

I was checking antenna VSWR by just looking at the return loss on the spectrum analyzer without nulling out the cable first. An inspector in Denver watched me do it last month and asked if I knew my readings were off by 2 dB. How do you guys handle coax loss calibration on portable analyzers?
