Bought a $400 fire pit from Amazon and it rusted through in 3 months
Saw all these 5 star reviews saying it was great quality but I should've looked closer at the 1 stars. By week 6 the paint was peeling and now there's actual holes in the bottom. Rain got under the cover I bought separately too. Anyone found a fire pit that actually lasts more than a season?

Saw a video where someone tested those cheap Amazon fire pits and they literally fall apart.

My buddy actually picked up one of those $40 fire pits off Amazon last summer. @angelamurphy is spot on about the rust issue, except his whole thing literally buckled inward mid-fire and dumped hot coals all over his patio. He spent the next hour stomping out sparks trying to keep his deck from catching fire.

Brian_hart is right about those cheap ones... they're basically tin foil with legs. A friend bought one and the whole bottom rusted out after two uses. Might as well just burn your money instead.
