Hot take: those fancy solar lights are a total ripoff compared to regular wired ones
Tbh I thought I was being smart last spring when I dropped $80 on those nice solar path lights from Home Depot. They looked great for like two weeks then just got dimmer and dimmer. I tried cleaning the panels and moving them to sunnier spots but nothing helped much. Meanwhile my neighbor has the same old wired lights he put in five years ago still going strong. Ngl I was skeptical about running conduit through the yard but watching those solar lights fail every night convinced me. Has anyone else made the switch back to wired lighting or found some solar brands that actually hold up?

@dakota_miller93 did you bury it deep enough to avoid the sprinkler system or just wing it?

Feel the pain with you man, I went through three different solar brands last year and every single one crapped out by fall. I finally gave in and ran some low voltage wire from the side of the garage, took me a whole Saturday but honestly the lights are way brighter and just work. The conduit part was annoying but I just buried it shallow in the flower beds and you can't even see it now.
