My neighbor the beekeeper convinced me to ditch the chemical sprays
He told me I was killing the very bugs that pollinate my veggies in Tulsa, so now I use a garlic oil mix and my squash yield actually went up 30 percent, has anyone else gone pesticide-free after a talk like that?

Give the garlic spray a couple weeks to build up, and don't expect it to nuke everything overnight. My neighbor's recipe needed a second pass after rain, or it washed right off the leaves.
