Just hit 50 attempts at my grandma's cinnamon roll recipe and I'm shocked

I've been trying to get her famous cinnamon rolls right for over a year now. The recipe card is stained and faded, and I've messed up the dough, the filling, and the frosting more times than I can count. Last night, my batch number 50 finally came out perfect, with that exact soft, pillowy texture she always got. I honestly thought I'd never get there after so many dense or dry results. Has anyone else had a recipe take way more tries than you ever expected?

It's funny how the simplest things often take the most practice to get right. You see it with recipes, fixing things around the house, even learning a new skill. The gap between knowing the steps and actually doing it well is always wider than it looks.

My aunt's biscuit recipe took me about thirty tries to get right. Honestly, it feels amazing when it finally clicks after all that work. Congrats on sticking with it.

Feel this so hard with my grandpa's pie crust.
