That $60 Bundt pan I bought is collecting dust now
I splurged on a nice nonstick Bundt pan from a kitchen store in Austin about 4 months ago. Cost me $60 and I thought it would make my cakes slide right out every time. First two bakes were perfect, then the coating started flaking after the third use. Now I'm back to greasing and flouring my old metal pan that cost $15 and works like a charm. Has anyone else had luck with those expensive pans long term or is it just me?

Man it's a cake pan not a car payment. $60 stings but it's not like you lost your life savings. The nonstick coating flaking after 3 uses is a bummer but honestly I've had $15 pans do the same thing after a few months. Nonstick stuff just wears out quick no matter what you spend. The old metal one sounds like the real winner here, just grease it good and you're set. People get way too hung up on fancy kitchen gear when the cheap stuff works just fine with a little elbow grease.

Wait what - you actually paid $60 for a Bundt pan and the coating flaked after THREE uses?? That's insane, I'd be so mad! I've never had a cheap pan do me that dirty that fast.
