Found out my 'quick quote' neighbor was paying double my rate
I was cleaning a driveway two houses down and the owner came out to chat. He mentioned he paid the guy across the street $800 for the same job I just did for $400. I found out because the neighbor showed me the invoice, plain as day. Turns out the other guy just names a big round number and people pay it without asking questions. Anyone else run into a local 'competitor' with wild pricing that makes no sense?

Honestly, some folks just value speed and a handshake over shopping for quotes.

It's a trust thing too. You find someone good and you just stick with them, saves a ton of time.
