I finally stopped giving clients a single rate option
I kept losing projects when I'd quote $85 an hour, even though my work was solid. The shift happened when a prospect in Austin flat out said, 'I can't swing that, but I have a smaller budget for a stripped-down version.' Now I always present three clear tiers with different scopes and prices. How do you structure your proposals to keep the conversation going?

Yeah, that's exactly what @mason_murray8 means about getting them in the door.

Wait you were only giving one price? I mean that seems like a sure way to lose people who just can't afford it. Offering different options is such a basic move, idk why more folks don't start there.

Actually Karen, having just one clear price can really help people trust you more by being totally upfront.

But what if your one price is too high? You just lose that person forever. A basic option gets them in the door, then they can see the value for later.
