A quiet afternoon at the library in Tacoma made me drop my 'always available' rule
I went there to work on a project, but the main reading room was full of people just... sitting. Not on phones, not typing, just reading or staring out the window. The librarian told me they have a 'silent hour' every day at 3 PM. It made me realize my own burnout came from never letting my brain just be quiet. I've started doing a 30 minute 'no screen' block after lunch now. What's a small rule you've changed that helped you pause?

That "no screen" block after lunch is a solid idea. My version is leaving my phone in the kitchen after 8 PM. The first few nights I just stared at my hands like a caveman. Felt ridiculous, but it works.

I always thought you needed your phone by the bed for the alarm. Tried the kitchen thing last week and I'm actually sleeping way better now.

Honestly, I did the same thing with my phone. That first night was just me and the ceiling fan for company. Now I actually read a book before bed, which feels like a weird superpower.
