I bought a fancy planner system that was supposed to fix my schedule.
It was a whole kit with stickers and color codes, cost me about $75. I spent more time setting it up and feeling guilty for not using it right than I did on actual client work. Has anyone else found that simple tools work better for keeping track of deadlines?

Ever try just a notebook and a pen?

My last notebook has three grocery lists and a doodle of a sad cat from 2022. I bought a fancy pen for it and immediately lost the cap. The whole system fell apart by page two, honestly. I admire anyone who can make that method work, but my brain just doesn't operate that way. I need the chaos of a dozen digital tabs open to feel organized, it's a real problem.

My kitchen calendar is just a free one from the auto shop. It works because I see it ten times a day. @oliviajenkins, that digital tab chaos might be your version of the same thing, a system you actually look at. The tool has to fit into your existing life, not the other way around.
