I used to think the 'no work after 6 PM' rule was silly until I tried it for a month.

A friend in Chicago told me to put my laptop in a drawer at 6 PM sharp, no excuses. I was sure I'd fall behind (I often worked until 9). But after 30 days, my morning focus was way better and I felt less fried. The hard stop forced me to plan my day better from the start. Has anyone else found a simple rule that actually worked for them?

My old boss called it a dumb millennial trend. I fought it hard, always staying late to clear my inbox. Setting a firm 7 PM stop changed everything. I get more done before lunch now because I know the clock is ticking. That pressure to finish actually makes me way more efficient. I was totally wrong to dismiss the idea.

Funny how a hard stop can make your brain work better.

Man, that's hilarious. You basically turned yourself into a productivity bomb with a lit fuse. Guess your old boss was the real dumb trend all along.

Totally get that. I started shutting off my work phone at 7 and it's crazy how much it helps you unwind. That boundary makes the whole next day better.
