Appreciation post: Warranty paperwork that needs a map and a flashlight
I mean, yesterday a customer needed a frame claim and the online system wanted receipts from three shops ago. It's like they make it hard on purpose, maybe it's just me but idk. How do you guys keep all that stuff straight without going nuts?

Ever consider that keeping receipts is just part of being a responsible adult? Not everything needs to be handed to you on a silver platter.

Look at it this way. Sometimes people get gifts or just lose a receipt after a few months, like Cole Garcia was getting at. That doesn't make them irresponsible, it just makes them human. Stores have those rules to stop people from stealing stuff and trying to return it, not because they think every customer is careless. It's more about their own tracking than judging someone's life skills.

So when you say "silver platter," do you mean expecting stores to just take your word for returns without proof? What specific situations are you thinking of where asking for a receipt is someone being irresponsible instead of just a normal policy?
