The $90 bottom bracket tool I used exactly once... then lost

So I bought this fancy ISIS drive bottom bracket tool for a customer's oddball crankset last spring, $90 with shipping. Used it for one install and it worked perfect. Then I set it down on the workbench next to a pile of old cables and never saw it again. Tore the shop apart for three days, checked every drawer, even the parts washer. Last week I found it in the bottom of my tool bag... the one I only take to races. Has anyone else ever had a specialty tool just vanish like that, or am I the only one who needs to zip-tie expensive stuff to the bench?

Dude, same thing happened with my torque wrench, it turned up in a coffee can a year later.
