Alpine guide gig payment came through after a long wait
I'm really happy to say that after months of follow-ups, I received the full payment for that Alpine hiking guide job I did last fall. The experience itself was fantastic, with breathtaking views and a wonderful group, but the client was super slow to settle the invoice. They kept giving excuses about internal processing delays, which was frustrating. I started sending polite but firm email reminders every two weeks, and I made sure to include the original invoice each time. (Honestly, I think the consistency helped.) Seeing that payment hit my bank account was a small victory I've been waiting for. It reminded me how important it is to have clear contracts and follow-up systems in place. Now I can focus on saving for my next travel project without that old debt looming.

The Swiss Alps move faster than their accounting.

Finally, huh" is exactly how I felt. I used to think they were just being careful, but this delay is something else. It's hard to see it as anything but a real problem now.
