Debate: did that client who was 90 days late actually have a valid reason or was it a stall tactic?
I had a client swear they were waiting on their funding from a contractor and it turned out to be real when I got paid after 5 months of chasing. But I've also had someone use the same excuse and ghost me completely... what makes you decide to trust a late payer or call them out?

Five months of chasing? That's insane, I would've given up after the first month!

Does anybody else feel like this kind of stubborn persistence is basically how everything works now? Like trying to get a straight answer from customer service or finding a decent repair person, you just have to keep calling and calling. I remember trying to sort out a simple billing error with my internet provider, took me four months and at least seven different people before someone finally fixed it. It's just the new normal, you either get used to the chase or you never get anything done.

Right? I swear that's just how it goes now. I spent a solid three months going back and forth with my phone company over a $45 credit they owed me, and every time I called it was like starting over from scratch. By the end I was just doing it out of pure spite haha.
