Burned 3 hours on a show that never got a proper ending

Started watching this sci fi series on Netflix called The 4400 remake from like 2021. I got super into it, binged the whole first season in one weekend. Then I looked it up and found out it got cancelled after one season with a huge cliffhanger. Wasted 8 episodes of my life for nothing. Anyone else hate when streaming services kill shows before they finish the story?

Oh man, that's rough. And yeah, I gotta nitpick one thing - "creative destruction" is actually more of a business term from economics, not something streaming execs made up. It's about old industries getting replaced by new ones, not about canceling shows. Still, I feel your pain on The 4400, that cliffhanger was brutal.

Read somewhere that streaming execs call that "creative destruction" or something.

Canceling my cable back in 2017 was the best $120 a month I ever saved.
