I finally binged The Bear in one weekend and now I can't watch cooking shows the same way

After 3 episodes I noticed the editing style completely changed how I feel about kitchen chaos, has anyone else had a show totally shift your perception of a whole profession?

Watched three episodes and immediately texted my chef buddy an apology for every order I ever rushed.

The Bear really nails that specific feeling of restaurant dread (like when tickets are printing so fast the paper starts to tear). What hit me hardest is how it shows the quiet moments between the chaos, the way people just stand there for a second after a rush, completely empty. That made me realize every industry has those hidden pockets of stillness that nobody talks about. Watching it made me pay way more attention to the rhythm of my own job, the way we all build up tension then release it in some shared silence. Never thought a TV show would teach me about pacing in real life, but here we are. It's like the show gave me a new pair of glasses for seeing work dynamics I always just accepted before.

That apology text hits different when you've seen the episode with the ticket machine meltdown.
