Showerthought: I was watching shows all wrong for years

I always skipped the opening credits to get straight to the episode, but then I binged 'Severance' and the theme song actually sets the whole creepy vibe. Now I feel like I missed out on the mood for so many other series. Do you guys watch the intros or just skip them?

Oh man, I love that you're watching intros again! Honestly, a lot of the best ones lately are on streaming shows that actually let them play out. "Severance" on Apple TV has a fantastic, creepy opening. "Peacemaker" on HBO Max is just pure fun and totally sets the tone. It feels like we're getting back to good intros after that trend of super short ones.

Right? I was just telling my husband the other day that I've stopped hitting "skip intro" so much. The "Severance" one is a total mood, it gets under your skin in the best way. I'd add "The White Lotus" theme to the list, that song is pure chaos and I never get tired of it. It really does feel like a mini art project before the show starts, which is way better than the old three-second logo flash.
