Why does nobody talk about fixing a warped anvil face?

I got a used 150 pound Peter Wright anvil last fall, and the face had a slight dip right in the middle from years of wear. I figured I'd just mill it flat, but setting it up on the big Bridgeport at the shop took me almost a full day just to get it level and secure without messing up the table. Has anyone else dealt with this and found a faster way to prep a heavy anvil for surfacing?

That setup is the worst part.

Remember that time I spent three hours just getting it level?

My buddy tried to mill his anvil flat last year. Said the setup took longer than the actual cutting. He ended up just using a big angle grinder with a flap disc instead.

Maybe try a magnetic chuck on a big surface grinder instead... way less setup hassle for something that heavy.
