That deluxe expansion kickstarter was a total bust

Backed that big box expansion for Battlestar Galactica last year. Paid $120 for it, supposed to have new characters and all these plastic ships. Got it three months late, the ships were warped, and the cards had that weird smell. Anyone else get burned on a kickstarter game that just didn't deliver?

Same thing happened to me with that Zombicide: Dark Future campaign. Paid a hundred bucks for it, waited almost a year, and when it finally showed up the miniatures were all melted together in the plastic bags. The rulebook was printed upside down too, which was just insult to injury at that point. Honestly makes you wonder if these projects even do any quality control before they ship stuff out. Feels like half these kickstarter companies just take the money and wing it, hoping nobody asks for a refund.

Remember when I backed that weird dungeon crawler called "Lair of the Lizard King" or something like that. The guy running it posted updates every single day for like 8 months about all these cool stretch goals they hit, then one day he just stopped posting entirely. Five months later a single pallet of boxes showed up at my door with no tracking number or anything. Opened it up and all the tiles were just generic blank squares with no art printed on them, and the minis looked like they were cast in play-doh. Never saw a single update about replacements or anything either, guy just vanished.

Half the time it feels like they just print the stretch goals on a wishlist and call it a day.
