That Kickstarter game I backed for $85 still hasnt shipped after 18 months
I jumped on a fancy board game Kickstarter called 'Dungeon Delvers' back in March 2023. Paid $85 for the deluxe edition with all the minis. They keep posting updates about 'production delays' and 'quality checks' but I feel like I lit that money on fire. Anyone else get burned on a game that looked so good but never actually arrived?

Honestly that Dungeon Delvers thing is exactly what happened with me and a game called "Monster Mashup." I dropped $70 on it back in 2021 and after like 30 updates about "quality control" I finally got it last month. The box was dented and half the minis were missing arms. Tbh I feel like these Kickstarters are just a roll of the dice now. You're not alone in feeling burned.

Oh man, missing arms on minis is rough. But here's something I haven't seen anyone mention - maybe these delays aren't just about quality control. I wonder if some creators use the "we're fixing things" excuse to hold onto your money longer and collect interest or invest it before they actually have to ship anything. Just a thought, your mileage may vary.
