TIL my friend's 'board game night' setup is just a card table in his garage

I used to think you needed a dedicated room with custom shelving, but after seeing his simple system, I realized I was overcomplicating it for years. Anyone have a good, cheap table topper recommendation for a basic folding table?

My cousin's game group in Toledo has met on a folding table for ten years. Casey268 is right about the garage being perfect for no stress, and it points to something bigger. We get sold this idea that we need the perfect, expensive setup to enjoy a hobby, but that just stops people from starting. A card table and some chairs is all you really need to have a great time with friends. The fancy stuff is nice, but it's not what makes the game fun, you know?
