Man that Texas heat is no joke, been there with mortar turning to dust before you can even butter the block. Quick-set really does make a difference when you're fighting the sun like that.

I saw a masonry contractor on YouTube talking about how quick-set saved him on a big wall in Texas heat. Said regular mortar was drying too fast anyway so the quick-set actually gave him more control.

Bet nobody's talking about how quick-set actually lets you work later in the day too. Regular stuff's useless once the sun hits it but with quick-set you can start up at 4pm and still get stuff done before dark.
