Ngl, splitting a ride with strangers from the hostel saved me a ton on airport transit

Honestly, I was dreading the expensive taxi to the airport. Tbh, I asked around at the hostel and found two others going the same way. We split a rideshare and it cost like a third of the price. Felt good to connect and save money together.

Did the same thing in Bangkok last year. Just put a note on the hostel board and had three people join. Split the van fare and got to the airport without wasting cash.

How did your note on the board work out? I ended up just asking people at breakfast in my hostel and found a van going to the airport, worked just like your plan with @shane170. Splitting that cost is the only way to go.

The note on the board worked great, got a full van together for the airport. It's a perfect example of how small acts of coordination solve everyday problems. You see the same pattern with people sharing rides to work or grouping orders online to hit free shipping. Everyone wins by pooling resources, but we often forget to just ask around. That simple move turns strangers into temporary allies, cutting costs for all. It's a quiet kind of teamwork that makes daily life a bit smoother.
