Serious question, has anyone else had a cabinet door warp after a week in a humid house?

I installed a set of maple slab doors in a kitchen near the coast last month. The homeowner called me after seven days to say the top door on the pantry unit had bowed out by almost a quarter inch. I had to go back, take it off, and re-mill a new door from the same batch, but I added a hidden steel brace to the back this time. It held up, but I'm still annoyed. What's your go-to fix for wood movement in high humidity areas?

I used to believe wood movement was just bad luck. That pantry door job proved a hidden brace is a cheap fix for expensive callbacks. Now I add them on any slab door near water.

Ever check the moisture content of the wood right before you installed it? I had a similar problem and realized the supplier's "kiln-dried" maple was still at like 12% in the core. Now I stick a pin meter in a fresh cut edge on site before anything gets hung.

That's why some folks sticker each board with its own reading.
