A customer in my shop argued that cleaning a lens sensor is always a DIY job

He brought in a Fuji X-T4 with visible dust spots and insisted the online tutorials made it simple. I explained that one wrong move with the wrong swab in Boise's dry air can permanently scratch the filter over the sensor. How do you handle clients who are sure they know better than you?

That line about Boise's dry air is key. I keep a really bad sensor here that a customer wrecked with a cheap swab. When someone gets stubborn, I just show them the permanent scratches under the light. I say "This was a one-time fix that turned into a full sensor replacement." It usually shuts the debate down fast. They need to see the real cost of a simple mistake.
