Just dropped $500 on a Weller WE1010NA soldering station for my bench

I was using a cheap iron for years and it was fine for basic stuff, but it struggled with the tiny pads on modern mirrorless camera boards. The temperature control on the Weller is solid, and the tips heat up fast. Has anyone else switched to a better iron and noticed it cutting down on repair time for circuit work?

Struggled with tiny pads" is putting it lightly. My old iron turned every SMD job into a game of Operation.

@williams.luna maybe you just need a steadier hand.

Man, I feel that. My old RadioShack iron basically welded a cap to a board once. Honestly, @dylanwells would've had a field day watching me try to fix it.
