My boss finally stopped asking for daily updates after I started sending a single Friday email with three bullet points.
It took about a month of me consistently doing it before he stopped pinging me every afternoon, and now I get to focus on my actual work.

So what do you actually put in those three bullet points? Is it just a list of tasks you finished, or do you include roadblocks and what you're doing next week too?

Depends on who's reading it. Are you sending these to your boss or just keeping them for yourself?
