Everyone talks about scope creep but nobody warns you about the client who changes their mind 3 times on the same page

Had a guy last month for a simple 5 page brochure site. Flat rate of $1200. He approved the homepage design, then 2 days later wanted it completely different. I redid it. Next week he wanted the original back with minor tweaks. Told him after the third revision he'd have to pay hourly from there on. He got upset and said I was being inflexible. Has anyone else just started charging a flat rate for each revision instead of per project?

Tbh I just built a "client indecision" fund into my rates now, it's basically me paying myself ahead of time for the therapy I'll need later.

Three clients ago I started mentally labeling their file as 'booked appointment with my therapist' before we even signed. It's been working way better than expected honestly.

Wait, you're actually labeling their files with that before even signing, @tessap97?
