Got roasted for using old plastic pots - switched to fabric ones and my plants are way happier

Someone in my local gardening group pointed out that my plastic nursery pots were trapping heat and suffocating roots. After switching to fabric pots for my peppers last summer, the soil stayed cooler and I didn't lose a single plant to root rot. Has anyone else noticed a big difference with fabric vs plastic?

Fabric pots are way better for breathing roots.

Yeah the "breathing roots" thing is real. I switched my tomatoes from plastic to fabric last season and the difference was night and day. The fabric lets air get to the roots so they don't get that soggy, compacted feeling you get with plastic. Plus the soil dries out more evenly, so you don't have that wet bottom layer rotting everything out.
