Question about learning Python loops

I was stuck on a practice problem for two days trying to print a number pyramid. I finally tried writing the whole thing out on paper first, step by step, and it clicked immediately. Does anyone else find that ditching the screen for a bit helps them figure out code?

Oh absolutely! I had the same thing happen with nested loops last month. I kept messing up the indentation on my screen. I grabbed a notebook and drew little boxes for each loop step. Seeing it on paper made the whole logic so much clearer.

Wait you still have a notebook @abbyf79? I haven't touched actual paper in years.

Find my brain works better when I can physically map things out.

You guys still use paper? I can't stand how slow it is to write by hand. @wade_dixon, you ever try a good whiteboard app? Way faster to erase and redo stuff.
