Left my beans in the freezer during a move to Austin and learned a hard lesson

I tossed a bag of Ethiopian Yirgacheffe in the freezer while packing up my apartment and when I finally brewed it two weeks later, it tasted like moldy cardboard. Anyone else ruin a good bag by forgetting moisture is the enemy?

My first batch after moving to Portland went the same way, but I pre-freeze my beans in single doses now.

Freezing them single dose is the only way it worked for me too. Keeps everything fresh way longer than leaving them in the bag.

@blair990 ooh yeah the pre-freeze single dose method is a game changer for sure. how long do you usually let them sit in the freezer before brewing? i've been doing it but i'm never sure if there's a sweet spot timing wise.
