Hit 500 square feet of broom finish in under 4 hours yesterday
I been doing concrete for about 6 years now and yesterday was the first time I actually tracked my pace on a big flat driveway pour. 500 square feet of broom finish done by myself in 3 hours and 45 minutes. That included edging, brooming, and curing spray. Felt good to finally put a number on it because I always thought I was slow. The trick was having my water hose setup ready before the pour even started. Anybody else ever time themselves to see how fast you actually work?

Heard a guy on a podcast say most guys are actually way faster than they think once they stop messing around with their tools and just go. Sounds like you proved him right.

Ngl, overthinking a job wastes more time than any bad tool ever could.

Man, my buddy timed himself once and realized he spent twenty minutes just looking for his trowel.
