One of my buddies from college got really into it after his nephew asked him why the moon landing footage looked "fake." He spent a whole weekend watching documentaries and reading articles. Next thing I know, he's texting me at 2 AM with links to NASA's fact sheets about the Van Allen belts. I guess he needed to prove the kid wrong. Never seen someone get so passionate about shadows on the moon.

Man, that reminds me of my uncle. He went on a whole rant at Thanksgiving about how the flag looks wrong in the photos because there's no wind in space. Got so loud about it. I ended up down a rabbit hole for hours that night looking up NASA's explanation about the flagpole setup. Totally ruined the pumpkin pie.
