That moment I compared two grocery stores in Phoenix and one blew the other away
I usually shop at Fry's on 43rd Ave but last month I tried the WinCo down on Bell Road. The same list of basics I buy every week cost $87 at Fry's but only $64 at WinCo and the bulk bins were way better. Has anyone else noticed a huge gap between stores for the exact same stuff?

You're comparing Fry's to WinCo which is kind of like comparing a steakhouse to a diner. WinCo is built on being the cheapest option so they cut corners on things like customer service and store layout to make that happen. Fry's has way more sales and digital coupons that can bring the price down a lot if you pay attention to the weekly ads. A straight price comparison without factoring in sales and the Fry's fuel points is missing a big part of the picture.

Read an article last week saying WinCo actually negotiates directly with farmers for their bulk stuff. That cuts out middlemen completely. So maybe they're not cutting corners, just smarter about buying.

WinCo bulk bins alone destroy any Fry's sale lol.
