The cheap caulk gun trick that saved me from a kitchen remodel disaster
I was doing a backsplash in a kitchen over in Greenville a few weeks back and the grout lines were looking like garbage. Kept squeezing too much out and making a mess no matter how slow I went. Finally an old timer at the tile supply place told me to just cut the tip at a real sharp angle instead of straight across. Dude even drew it on a napkin for me. Tried it on the next row and holy crap it worked way better than any of those $40 fancy guns. Made the lines clean and even and I finished the whole job in about half the time. Anyone else got a simple hack like that that actually works better than the expensive tool?

Ngl that's genius. Simple stuff always beats the overpriced junk.

Honestly for me it was using blue tape to mark the exact depth on my drill bit when I was putting in shelf brackets. Kept blowing through the drywall before I tried that trick.
