My framing nailer jammed up on a big job in Denver last week

It was a brand new model I just bought, but it started double firing and then locked up tight. I had to finish the whole wall by hand, which added three hours to the day. Anyone know a good way to clear a bad jam on these newer guns?

Brand new model" just means you got a lemon, not that all the new guns are bad.

Maybe it was a lemon, but I've seen way more issues with the new stuff than the old models. Feels like a pattern, not bad luck.

Brand new tools can have problems right out of the box, it happens. Zaranelson might be onto something about more issues lately, but a single jam doesn't prove a whole line is bad. Clearing a jam is usually just following the manual, maybe you got some bad nails. Finishing by hand is rough, but sometimes you just get unlucky with a new purchase.
