The baker in Portland told me my logo was 'stolen from a bakery on Alberta St'
So I do small business branding and last month a baker in Portland flagged me at a Saturday market, saying my logo was copied from a bakery on Alberta St, and she was dead serious. I pulled out my sketchbook showing 6 drafts from March, each with dates, and she still said the swirl shape was 'too close to be a coincidence.' I asked her to send me a photo of the other bakery's sign, and two days later she admitted it was her own old logo from a shop she closed in 2019. She never did say sorry, just asked if I'd redraw something for her new place at a discount. Has anyone else had a stranger claim your work was copied, and did they ever own up when you showed the receipts?

Wow, heard a story like this before, people claim stuff then go quiet when you show proof.
